In Mush, every player controls one of 18 (even though only 16 can be present at the same time) playable characters. This article serves as an overview of the characters and their basic function. Please refer to each character's respective article (see table on the right) for in-depth information, tips and tricks.

Depending on which character you play, you will have a different field of expertise, set of abilities and general play style. Each of the characters is unique in:

• their choice of 5-6 Skills
• their personal Glory objective
• if applicable, their unique character trait
• their place in the Title hierarchy

Andie Graham

Main article: Andie Graham. Genuinely gifted, and capable of taking any task on, Andie is ready to do anything for the good of the Federation... or not? Andie is placed on the Daedalus along with Derek in the event that Finola and Chao do not make it on-board. His/her Polyvalent skill both helps him/her during research and expeditions. Confident lets him/her give his/her comrades while helping find the Mush.With Pilot(S)he can take care of hunters and guide expeditions.Also,his/her Devotion and Expert give him/her extra and better chances of success. Objective: Andie's Fate Andie earns 4 for every successful trade with merchants. Trait: Androgynous Can flirt and do the thing with characters of both genders. Cannot become Pregnant,but can impregnate woman. Skill Description 1 Pilot Allows to pilot the various spacecraft in the Daedalus, and eliminates any chance of accidents when doing so. Landing during expeditions will always occur without incidents when a Pilot is onboard. 2 Devotion Increases the amount of gained from Commander-given missions by 3 . 3 Polyvalent Grants many bonuses of Biologist, Botanist and Diplomat minus their special actions and resources. 4 Confident Allows other characters to confide into you once a day, restoring 2 to them while revealing their recent actions to you. 5 Expert Improves the success chance of any chance-based action at the expense of increasing the likelihood of injury and becoming Dirty.

Andie Graham

Derek Hogan

Main article: Derek Hogan. A true force of nature, and a lifelong fan of Bowie and skin-tight clothing, Derek is capable of restoring order aboard the Daedalus. Derek is placed on the Daedalus along with Andie in the event that Finola and Chao do not make it on-board. His Shooter and Wrestler skills make it easier for him to take care of the Mush,while his Hygienist skill makes him harder to be taken care of.His Firefighter and Motivator skills make him useful long term. Objective: Lover Derek earns 2 for every reciprocal act of love. Trait: First Time The first time Derek does the thing, his gauge is re-filled to the maximum. Skill Description 1 Shooter Grants 2 daily, which allow to fire any kind of weapon (including Patroller guns and Turrets) for free. Increases chances for a lethal headshot and decreases chances of a critical miss. 2 Wrestler Adds +2 damage to unarmed attacks, and may kick a character out of the room for 2 (1 if Inactive). 3 Firefighter Always succeeds at extinguishing fires with the Extinguisher, and may even attempt doing so without one. 4 Motivator Once a day, may give a boring speech for 1 which gives 3 to everyone in the room. 5 Hygienist Has a 50% chance of resisting Spore contamination and physical illnesses.

Derek Hogan

Eleesha Williams

Main article: Eleesha Williams. Former investigative journalist, her goal is to contact any rebel bases still operating. One of the most observant crewmembers, she is as brilliant as she is honest, but don't worry – that can be cured! Eleesha is the primary detective of the Daedalus crew, her role being the detection of Mush using her various tools such as Tracker and Observant. As the second-in-line for the Communications Officer title, and by the utility of her Technician and IT Expert skills, she also remains useful to the crew after her Mush-hunting role has been fulfilled. Objective: Rebel Networks Eleesha gains +2 per Rebel Base that she contacts. Trait: Chronic Vertigo Begins the game with the Chronic Vertigo illness, unable to pilot ships until cured by a Shrink. Skill Description 1 Tracker Allows to peek further back into room log history and print THE List to aid the hunt for Mush. 2 Determined Speeds up the rate at which action success chances increase after subsequent failures. 3 Observant Allows to search rooms for free and to detect Covert actions 25% of the time. 4 IT Expert Grants 2 daily, which can be used in a myriad of ways, including Research, NERON Projects, Communications etc. 5 Technician Grants 1 daily for free repairs, vastly improves repair chances and allows to dismantle various objects for material, as well as reinforce them against sabotage. 6 Polymath Grants +2 private channels, +1 per day, -10% to all you action tries.

Eleesha Williams

Finola Keegan

Main article: Finola Keegan. A doctor of both medicine and biology, Finola's life's work revolves around making the world a better place. Her research and healing skills make her invaluable on board. Finola is nearly always found in Laboratory or Medlab. Due to her Biologist and Medic skills she is the primary researcher of the Deadalus - but never without the Stainproof Apron for her unique Trait Germaphobe. If she picks up Nurse she is the main healer on board, even more effective when paired with Medic.Her Diplomat makes her an invaluable expedition-team member Objective: Mush Specialist Finola earns +3 for every completed piece of Mush research. Trait: Germaphobe Loses 1 per cycle if Dirty, and cannot caress Schrödinger. Skill Description 1 Biologist Grants a +4% bonus to Research efficiency, and allows to read the properties of medicines. 2 Medic Boosts any Heal actions by +2 , allows to carry out surgery anywhere with a Medikit, grants a +4% bonus to Research efficiency, and allows to read the properties of medicines. 3 Nurse Grants 1 daily which allows to perform a healing action for free, and allows to read the properties of medicines. 4 Diplomat Disables the possibility of any Combat events during expeditions, and allows to declare a Ceasefire once per game. 5 OCD Functions as an innate Stainproof Apron, protecting against most ways of becoming Dirty.

Finola Keegan

Frieda Bergmann

Main article: Frieda Bergmann. Frieda is Humanity's most experienced astrophysicist. Her life's work has been discovering new planets and systems. She was born over 1000 years ago and is a true survivor! Frieda is the ship's navigator and will spend most of her time on the bridge. Her Astrophysicist and IT Expert skills make her the most efficient at scanning planets, while Survivalist and Pilot allow her to lead an expedition once they reach the planet. Radio Expert will make the communications officer's life easier and Antique Perfume can help during the Mush hunt. Objective: Terra Incognita Frieda earns +2 for every planet she discovers using the AstroTerminal (with diminishing returns). Objective: Exoresearcher Frieda earns +1 for arriving in orbit of a new planet. Skill Description 1 Astrophysicist Grants a boost in Astrophysics, allowing to scan for planets for 1 less , and uncovering 1 extra zone when analyzing planets. 2 Pilot Allows to pilot the various spacecraft in the Daedalus, and eliminates any chance of accidents when doing so. Landing during expeditions will always occur without incidents when a Pilot is onboard. 3 Survivalist An expedition skill, this adds a bonus Alien Steak during Provision events, reduces all damage taken by the Survivalist by 1 , and allows them to survive Group Death events. 4 IT Expert Grants 2 daily, which can be used in a myriad of ways, including Research, NERON Projects, Communications etc. 5 Radio Expert Doubles the effectiveness of your tries to establish contact with Sol while also improving all crewmembers' odds while on the Bridge. 6 Antique Perfume Grants 2 cycles of Mush immunity after taking a shower.

Gioele Rinaldo

Main article: Gioele Rinaldo. An eccentric billionaire, caffeine-junkie and owner of the Daedalus, his fortune is threatened by the Mush menace. He will do everything in his power to wipe it out. Not to be underestimated! The owner of the Daedalus, Gioele can restrict Mushy activity by using his unique Paranoid and Victimizer skills.He can also use Solid to to defend himself or attack the Mush.Additionally his Caffeine Junkie and Astrophysicist skills can make him the ultimate planet-scanner if the PILGRED Reactor is up. Objective: Fear of the Mush Gioele earns +3 every time a Mush is killed. Skill Description 1 Solid Adds +1 damage to unarmed attacks, negates the Burdened status when carrying heavy items, and may kick a character out of the room for 2 (1 if Inactive). 2 Paranoid Grants 2 additional Cameras, which allows to supervise more of the ship's rooms. 3 Caffeine Junkie Gains a +2 bonus when drinking a Coffee. 4 Astrophysicist Grants a boost in Astrophysics, allowing to scan for planets for 1 less , and uncovering 1 extra zone when analyzing planets. 5 Panic When at least half the crew is Mush, increases and gains by +1 every cycle. 6 Victimizer Allows you to accuse a crewmember at a time, worsening their action success chances and turning all of their Covert actions into Secret actions. Grants you a +8 bonus if an accused Mush dies, and a -8 penalty if an accused human dies.

Gioele Rinaldo

Ian Soulton

Main article: Ian Soulton. A passionate and dedicated researcher whose knowledge of alien plant-life is unparalleled. A strict pacifist, he's the 'nice guy' on board. Ian is the ship's botanist and is often found in the lab. Botanist and Green Thumb make him the best gardener aboard the Daedalus,and he can boost research progress thanks to his Biologist and Frugivore skills. Objective: Naturalist Ian gains +3 for every alien fruit he plants in a HydroPot. Trait: Pacifist All aggressive actions cost +2 when Ian is in the room. Skill Description 1 Botanist Grants 2 daily, which allow to perform gardening actions for free. Can see when exactly plants will mature and read the effects of alien fruit. Grants a bonus alien fruit if present during an expedition Harvest event. 2 Biologist Grants a +4% bonus to Research efficiency, and allows to read the properties of medicines. 3 Mycologist Removes a Spore from any crewmember you heal with the Medikit. 4 Green Thumb Grants 2 additional HydroPots, and reduces the time grafted hybrid plants need to mature. 5 Firefighter Always succeeds at extinguishing fires with the Extinguisher, and may even attempt doing so without one. 6 Frugivore Gains a +2 bonus when eating alien fruit, +1 when eating Bananas

Janice Kent

Main article: Janice Kent. In charge of communication in a global sense, she has highest-level access to NERON. Her solid IT and psychoanalytical skills are crucial for the voyage. As a Shrink Janice is the main source for on the deadalus, so she will be staying most time in one of the dorms. She is also first selected for being NERON Administrator and therefore responsible for setting the BIOS Terminal parameters. Her IT Expert and NERON's only friend skills let her help with NERON projects,and as a Diplomat she is very valuable for Expeditions. Objective: Part-time Ethnologist Janice earns +3 every time you meet any extra-terrestrial creature. Title: NERON Administrator Allows access to the BIOS Terminal and the usage of the /neron chat command to impersonate NERON. Skill Description 1 Shrink Grants +1 per cycle to anybody lying on a bed in the same room as you, as well as attempting to cure any psychological disorders they have. Allows to Comfort other characters for +2 per . 2 IT Expert Grants 2 daily, which can be used in a myriad of ways, including Research, NERON Projects, Communications etc. 3 NERON's only friend All crewmembers always progress NERON Projects at the maximum possible efficiency (i.e. 18% what would usually be 12%-18%). 4 Diplomat Disables the possibility of any Combat events during expeditions, and allows to declare a Ceasefire once per game. 5 Radio Expert Doubles the effectiveness of your tries to establish contact with Sol while also improving all crewmembers' odds while on the Bridge. 6 Self-sacrifice When your drops to 0, you lose 1 every cycle instead of committing suicide.

Janice Kent

Jiang Hua

Main article: Jiang Hua. Chief pilot of the Daedalus, Hua specializes in exploration missions. They say she can land where she wants, when she wants, and in any conditions you care to dream up. The versatile Hua can fill multiple roles aboard the ship, her Pilot skill will let her kill hunters and guide expeditions,wich in addition to Botanist, Survivalist and U-Turn make her the ultimate expedition-team member.Her Technician skill can be helpful to repair Patrol Ships and the Pasiphae. Objective: Explorer Hua gains an extra +3 every time she goes on an expedition. Skill Description 1 Pilot Allows to pilot the various spacecraft in the Daedalus, and eliminates any chance of accidents when doing so. Landing during expeditions will always occur without incidents when a Pilot is onboard. 2 Botanist Grants 2 daily, which allow to perform gardening actions for free. Kim Jin Su

Main article: Kim Jin Su. A born leader, Jin Su is the supreme commander of the Daedalus. He is in charge of piloting the ship. - Towards planets for expeditions and, most importantly, towards Eden. At the head of the chain of command is Commander Jin Su. Jin's primary job is to move the Daedalus through the vast reaches of space but he also provides strong support for the crew thanks to his Leader and Logistics Expert skills.His Strateguru, Pilot and Shooter skills,let him reduce the hunter threat both actively and passively. Objective: Fast Forward Jin Su earns +3 for every Command Console voyage carried out (with diminishing returns after +6 ). Objective: Savior Jin Su earns +8 upon leading the crew to Eden. Title: Commander Allows access to the Command Console on the Bridge in order to move the Daedalus, as well as assign daily missions to give crewmembers a +3 boost. Skill Description 1 Leader Allows to give an Impassioned Speech which grants +2 to all crewmembers present in the room. 2 Pilot Allows to pilot the various spacecraft in the Daedalus, and eliminates any chance of accidents when doing so. Landing during expeditions will always occur without incidents when a Pilot is onboard. 3 Cold Blooded Any time a crewmember dies, you gain a bonus of 3 . 4 Shooter Grants 2 daily, which allow to fire any kind of weapon (including Patroller guns and Turrets) for free. Increases chances for a lethal headshot and decreases chances of a critical miss. 5 Logistics Expert Grants +1 to a crewmember in the same room as you every cycle. 6 Strateguru At a chance of 50%, reduces the number of new hunters in every wave by 33%.

Main article: Lai Kuan Ti. An astrophycisist and the ship's designer, Kuan Ti knows it like the back of his hand and has privileged access to NERON. If a Nexus project is underway, you can be sure he is involved! Kuan Ti's Designer and Technician skills help him with NERON Projects,the latter one also helps with general maintenance.After he is done with NERON projects he can help finding planets with his Astrophysicist skill.If needed,he can also give to the crew with Leader. Objective: Magellan Ark Kuan Ti earns +2 for every NERON Project taken to completion. Skill Description 1 Designer Grants 2 daily, which allow to progress NERON Project research free of cost. 2 The Optimist Reduces the daily loss by 1. 3 Astrophysicist Grants a boost in Astrophysics, allowing to scan for planets for 1 less , and uncovering 1 extra zone when analyzing planets. 4 Technician Grants 1 daily for free repairs, vastly improves repair chances and allows to dismantle various objects for material, as well as reinforce them against sabotage. 5 Leader Allows to give an Impassioned Speech which grants +2 to all crewmembers present in the room.

Main article: Paola Rinaldo. Brilliant biologist and hardcore rebel markswoman, she is driven by the need to recontact Kivanç Terzi. Her technical and logistical skills are highly prized. Paola's job as the Communications Officer is to decode Rebel Base signals,the Xyloph Database and to update NERON. Radio Expert and Rebel make her the best suited for the role,she can also generate up to 8 bonus (for others) every day by using her Logistics Expert skill.After she's done with the communications,she can use her Biologist and Shooter to help in other areas. Objective: Kivanç, My Love Paola gains +8 for contacting Kivanç Terzi via the Xyloph DB. Title: Communications Officer Allows access to the Comms Center on the Bridge to contact Rebel Bases, decode the Xyloph DB and update NERON. Main article: Raluca Tomescu. Quantum Physics genius, her vast skillset renders her indispensable on board. Some say her tears are flammable and that she once kicked a giraffe to death. All we know is that she's called Raluca. The ship's seclusive, cat-loving head of engineering, a genius at all things technical and the only person who truly understands the PILGRED Reactor.Her Technician, Designer and Physicist skills help with NERON projects,while the latter also helps with the PILGRED.Also,her Genius skill allows her to finish a single project,research or repair(doesn't include PILGRED repairs) instantly and for free once per game. Objective: Mother Raluca earns +2 for every 20% of the PILGRED repairs successfully completed. Trait: Antisocial Cannot flirt, and loses 1 if anybody else is present in the same room during cycle change. Skill Description 1 Physicist Grants 1 per day, which allows progressing PILGRED Reactor repairs for free. Also severely improves PILGRED repair efficiency. 2 Detached Crewmember When a crewmember dies, you lose no and aren't struck by any psychological disorders. 3 Technician Grants 1 daily for free repairs, vastly improves repair chances and allows to dismantle various objects for material, as well as reinforce them against sabotage. 4 Genius Once per game, allows to carry out a piece of Research, a NERON Project or a repair. 5 Designer Grants 2 daily, which allow to progress NERON Project research free of cost.

Roland Zuccali

Main article: Roland Zuccali. Roland is a brilliant pilot who is not nearly as funny as he thinks he is. However, his dogfighting skills are no laughing matter. He's got a gift, and he's never happier than when he's shooting down Hunters. A very good hunter-fighter due to his Pilot, Shooter and Creative skills, Roland is at his best when put into a patrol ship. He can also take Sprinter to improve his mobility and help on expeditions or Firefighter to keep the ship from burning up. Objective: Flying Nemesis Roland gains +1 for every 2 Hunters he kills in a patroller or turret (with diminishing returns). Skill Description 1 Sprinter When converting to , grants an additional +2 . When on an expedition, 1 additional zone is explored. 2 Pilot Allows to pilot the various spacecraft in the Daedalus, and eliminates any chance of accidents when doing so. Landing during expeditions will always occur without incidents when a Pilot is onboard. 3 Shooter Grants 2 daily, which allow to fire any kind of weapon (including Patroller guns and Turrets) for free. Stephen Seagull

Main article: Stephen Seagull. The most dangerous cook in the galaxy is on board. He has more black-belts than pairs of trousers and he collects roadkill. Alien flesh is like catnip to Stephen. We thought you should know. After accidentally ending up aboard the Daedalus, Stephen promotes himself to the head Chef. His ability to take Creative and Apprentice make him the most versatile person aboard the ship, and Solid and Shooter make him a dangerous person to cross. Objective: Ambitious Stephen gets +4 for any titles earned (for the first time). Objective: Extreme Chef Stephen gets +2 for every fight with an alien creature. Skill Description 1 Chef Grants 4 daily, which allow to cook or hyperfreeze food free of cost. Allows to read the effects of alien fruit and the state of decay in consumables. 2 Solid Adds +1 damage to unarmed attacks, negates the Burdened status when carrying heavy items, and may kick a character out of the room for 2 (1 if Inactive). 3 Opportunist When you earn a new Title for the first time, you gain a bonus of +5 . 4 Shooter Grants 2 daily, which allow to fire any kind of weapon (including Patroller guns and Turrets) for free. Increases chances for a lethal headshot and decreases chances of a critical miss. 5 Apprentice Enables you to copy a Skill of any crewmember in the room once per game. 6 Creative Grants a 50% chance to restore 1 any time you fail an action.

Terrence Archer

Main article: Terrence Archer. Don't be fooled by his appearance, Terrence is amongst the most agile crew members, albeit mentally. Next-generation robotics and UAVs are his bread and butter. Terrence is a real allround-talent with the unique Disabled-Trait. If he has some help from crew-members he is one of the most important persons for carrying things around.With his Technician skill he can repair,dismantle or reinforce various items. Robotics Expert lets him upgrade his Support Drones and gives him a Blueprint to build an extra one.His Pilot and Shooter skills let him take care of hunters. IT Expert lets him help on almost any field and Metalworker lets him search for Scrap Metal and other items on the Storage rooms Objective: Robotic Grail Terrence gains +4 for each Support Drone upgrade he performs. Trait: Disabled Gains 2 less during - conversions. Moving between rooms is free if somebody else is present in the room. Skill Description 1 Robotics Expert Allows you to upgrade Support Drones for 2 , and grants an additional Support Drone Blueprint. 2 Technician Grants 1 daily for free repairs, vastly improves repair chances and allows to dismantle various objects for material, as well as reinforce them against sabotage. 3 Pilot Allows to pilot the various spacecraft in the Daedalus, and eliminates any chance of accidents when doing so. Terrence Archer

Wang Chao

Main article: Wang Chao. Hyperactive head of the security team, Chao insists that sleep is for the weak. A trigger happy lunatic, the story goes that he once tore a man's arms off for suggesting his choice of weaponry was 'a bit camp'... Chao is in charge of security aboard the ship. His Shooter and Wrestler skills give him the highest offensive capabilities out of all the crew members and his Crazy Eye skill acts as his shield. He also possesses the unique Torturer skill, allowing him to extract information from unwilling crew members.His Survivalist skill helps him on expeditions. Objective: Psy-Chao-path Chao gains +3 from killing anybody, even including Schrödinger. Trait: Hyperactive Gains +1 every cycle, however sleeping in a bed grants no additional . Skill Description 1 Shooter Grants 2 daily, which allow to fire any kind of weapon (including Patroller guns and Turrets) for free. Increases chances for a lethal headshot and decreases chances of a critical miss. 2 Survivalist An expedition skill, this adds a bonus Alien Steak during Provision events, reduces all damage taken by the Survivalist by 1 , and allows them to survive Group Death events. 3 Wrestler Adds +2 damage to unarmed attacks, and may kick a character out of the room for 2 (1 if Inactive). 4 Torturer Allows you to Torture a crewmember, dealing 1 damage and revealing their recent actions to the Torturer. The number of revealed actions corresponds to the target's missing . 5 Crazy Eye Increases the cost of all Aggressive actions aimed at you by 2 . 6 Intimidating Allows you to intimidate another crewmember for 1 , making them lose 2 and 4 .

Wang Chao

Zhong Chun

Main article: Zhong Chun. Our last hope. She must survive and make the journey to Eden. She inspires the crew to achieve more, and when misfortune befalls her comrades she is always there to patch them up. Chun is the one to lead and coordinate the Mush-Hunt for she is Immunized and can always be trusted. Therefore she is in fact the real leader of the ship. She will stay most of the time near Laboratory for her presence is needed for several Research projects. If she has Nurse, she is the other main healer besides Finola.Her skill Mankind's only hope will make her(and her teammates) lose 1 less on day-change.Her Lethargy skill will let her win more if she stays many consecutive cycles laying down. Objective: Chun Lives! Chun gains +1 per day. Objective: The Precious Chun gains +4 for each completed Research that required her presence. Objective: Remedy Chun gains +4 for reaching Eden alive. Trait: Immunized Chun is completely immune to the Mush parasite, and thus always a confirmed human.
