In Mush, every player controls one of 18(even though only 16 can be present at the same time) playable characters. This article serves as an overview of the characters and their basic function. Please refer to each character's respective article (see table on the right) for in-depth information, tips and tricks.
Depending on which character you play, you will have a different field of expertise, set of abilities and general play style. Each of the characters is unique in:
- their choice of 5-6 Skills
- their personal
Glory objective
- if applicable, their unique character trait
- their place in the Title hierarchy

Former investigative journalist, her goal is to contact any rebel bases still operating. One of the most observant crewmembers, she is as brilliant as she is honest, but don't worry – that can be cured!
|

Eleesha is the primary detective of the Daedalus crew, her role being the detection of Mush using her various tools such as Tracker and Observant. As the second-in-line for the Communications Officer title, and by the utility of her Technician and IT Expert skills, she also remains useful to the crew after her Mush-hunting role has been fulfilled.

A doctor of both medicine and biology, Finola's life's work revolves around making the world a better place. Her research and healing skills make her invaluable on board.

Finola is nearly always found in Laboratory or Medlab. Due to her Biologist and Medic skills she is the primary researcher of the Deadalus - but never without the Stainproof Apron for her unique Trait Germaphobe. If she picks up Nurse she is the main healer on board, even more effective when paired with Medic.Her Diplomat makes her an invaluable expedition-team member

Grants 1 daily which allows to perform a healing action for free, and allows to read the properties of medicines.

Disables the possibility of any Combat events during expeditions, and allows to declare a Ceasefire once per game.

Functions as an innate Stainproof Apron, protecting against most ways of becoming Dirty.

Frieda is Humanity's most experienced astrophysicist. Her life's work has been discovering new planets and systems. She was born over 1000 years ago and is a true survivor!

Frieda is the ship's navigator and will spend most of her time on the bridge. Her Astrophysicist and IT Expert skills make her the most efficient at scanning planets, while Survivalist and Pilot allow her to lead an expedition once they reach the planet. Radio Expert will make the communications officer's life easier and Antique Perfume can help during the Mush hunt.

|
Doubles the effectiveness of your tries to establish contact with Sol while also improving all crewmembers' odds while on the Bridge.

Grants 2 cycles of Mush immunity after taking a shower.

An eccentric billionaire, caffeine-junkie and owner of the Daedalus, his fortune is threatened by the Mush menace. He will do everything in his power to wipe it out. Not to be underestimated!

The owner of the Daedalus, Gioele can restrict Mushy activity by using his unique Paranoid and Victimizer skills.He can also use Solid to to defend himself or attack the Mush.Additionally his Caffeine Junkie and Astrophysicist skills can make him the ultimate planet-scanner if the PILGRED Reactor is up.

Allows you to accuse a crewmember at a time, worsening their action success chances and turning all of their Covert actions into Secret actions. Grants you a +8 bonus if an accused Mush dies, and a -8 penalty if an accused human dies.

Chief pilot of the Daedalus, Hua specializes in exploration missions. They say she can land where she wants, when she wants, and in any conditions you care to dream up.

The versatile Hua can fill multiple roles aboard the ship, her Pilot skill will let her kill hunters and guide expeditions,wich in addition to Botanist, Survivalist and U-Turn make her the ultimate expedition-team member.Her Technician skill can be helpful to repair Patrol Ships and the Pasiphae.

Grants 2 daily, which allow to perform gardening actions for free. Can see when exactly plants will mature and read the effects of alien fruit. Grants a bonus alien fruit if present during an expedition Harvest event.

3 Survivalist
|
An expedition skill, this adds a bonus Alien Steak during Provision events, reduces all damage taken by the Survivalist by 1 , and allows them to survive Group Death events.

4 Technician
|
Grants 1 daily for free repairs, vastly improves repair chances and allows to dismantle various objects for material, as well as reinforce them against sabotage.

5 Determined
|
Speeds up the rate at which action success chances increase after subsequent failures.
|
6 U-Turn
|
Allows to immediately abort an ongoing expedition and return to the Daedalus for 2 .

A born leader, Jin Su is the supreme commander of the Daedalus. He is in charge of piloting the ship. - Towards planets for expeditions and, most importantly, towards Eden.

At the head of the chain of command is Commander Jin Su. Jin's primary job is to move the Daedalus through the vast reaches of space but he also provides strong support for the crew thanks to his Leader and Logistics Expert skills.His Strateguru, Pilot and Shooter skills,let him reduce the hunter threat both actively and passively.

Chao is in charge of security aboard the ship. His Shooter and Wrestler skills give him the highest offensive capabilities out of all the crew members and his Crazy Eye skill acts as his shield. He also possesses the unique Torturer skill, allowing him to extract information from unwilling crew members.His Survivalist skill helps him on expeditions.
