Having a Diplomat on the crew in addition to a Icon Babel Module is a major gateway opener for an Eden ending, as you will gain a much higher number of Alien Artifacts this way, among which there is a chance for a Icon Starmap Fragment.

The Ceasefire ability may also prove useful to disarm a brainless murder if you stumble upon it, to defend somebody from the Icon Mush, or to defend yourself or your co-conspirator when you are the Mush.

Icon Note: Ceasefire will automatically end at the start of the third cycle after it was initiated, so if you call it at the end of a cycle, you only get two full cycles of protection out of it.

General effects

  • When on an Expedition, removes any possibility of a Fight event.
  • New action: 1 Action Point Ceasefire
    • Target: None
    • Effect: Prevents any Aggressive actions in the room, and kicking people out. Lasts 3 cycles, or until the user leaves.
      • Single Action; can only be performed once per game.


Ceasefire

This ability often goes unused, but does have a few situations where it can be extremely powerful.

  • If you know a large group of crew will be grouped up in a room (such as when preparing for an expedition or for a leadership speech)
  • If a mush has started killing people, using it in a room with vital characters whilst people save up AP to retaliate
  • As a mush, you can declare a ceasefire then lay down and be safe from being killed (or kicked out of bed) for 3 cycles
