Stopicon.png WARNING: There is a major overhaul of the Skills pages and all related sub-pages for the singular skill pages incoming. Please hold back with editing skill pages for now; save your thoughts to a sub-page of your User page, a desktop text file or something like that! Ividyon (talk) 13:21, 18 December 2013 (MST)

Skills give passive bonuses or special actions.

Each character has 5 or 6 skills available.

A mush has more access to skills Mush mush that only see, and lose the use of certain human skills.

The first skill (2 for mush) is available from the start, the following are unlockable with the experience.

To gain a skill during a voyage, it requires a free skill slot. You cannot change your skills on a voyage, but you can pick new skills for each voyage, even if you play the same character. The exception to this is if you are playing a mush that gets turned human with the serum, at that point, you will be allowed to re-pick your human skills.

Mage Books

Mush Skills

Level Name Icon (hover for desc.) Details
1 Fungal Kitchen Fungal Kitchen.png "You can create a boobytrapped ration by mixing a Spore and one ration using 1 AP."

This action uses a stored spore and is completely invisible regardless of whether cameras or people are present. You can target standard rations, cooked rations, alien steaks, fruit, coffee, and pills. Note that cooking will remove the spore, but freezing won't. Mush can see which items are contaminated, but humans cannot. Humans will automatically pick up contaminated items first.

1 Phagocyte In hard times, you have THE SOLUTION. "For 0 AP, you can devour a Spore which gives you 4 AP and 4 HP."

This action uses a stored spore and is completely invisible regardless of whether cameras or people are present.

2 Traitor You have developed an innate ability to attract misfortune. Look - a mankarog ... let's see what happens when we tickle it... "The probability of getting negative results on expeditions in which you participate are multiplied by two."

This ability is passive, does not stack with the presence of multiple Traitors, and functions even if the possessor is left on the Icarus (e.g., lacking a spacesuit on a planet without oxygen).

2 Anonymush Your mycotoxins are indetectable in the atmosphere. You are a predator after all! "You'll appear as human on the crew bar except once you are dead."

This ability is passive.

3 Hard Boiled Your skin is particularly tough. Plastenite without the sweat. "All combat damage you sustain is reduced by one point."

This ability is passive, and sometimes stacks with Plastenite Armor (buggy). Can be detected by others when low-damage attacks are negated by this skill. It is not clear whether this skill works in exploration combat.

3 Saboteur Your saliva becomes lightly acidic which is sufficient to short-circuit pretty much anything... "Your chances of success in attempts to Sabotage equipment are doubled."

This ability is passive.

4 Demoralize Mush pheromones do not allow direct communication but saturation can destabilize. You know how to take advantage of this. "For 2 AP you can cause a crewmate to lose 2 morale."

This ability is secret; however, it will not be logged if you are alone with the target. It is also aggressive, which is affected by Ian's Pacifism and Chao's Crazy Eyes. The target will always know who used this ability. Note that you will not receive any notification if/when the target reaches 0 morale. Also, fatal depression only occurs at the beginning of cycles.

5 Trapper Surprise! "For 1 AP, you can booby trap a shelf unit with a Spore. If someone touches the Unit, they will become Infected. If they are Mush, the spore is lost."

This action is secret and requires a stored spore. Note that using any item in the room will trigger the trap (e.g., accessing a terminal, picking up an object), but simply inspecting the shelf will not. Furthermore, the spore will be wasted if Chun or another mush triggers the trap.

6 Transfer The Mush has passed to you one of the genotypes from our weapons of mass transmission. Help yourself! "Single action: You can inhabit the body of another human. They must have been infected at least once. They will then find themselves in your body... and may warn your crewmates."

This ability is entirely invisible regardless of whether people or cameras are present. The following things will remain with their respective characters: glory earned, inventory, communication items, health and statuses, titles, action points, private and favorited conversations, knowledge of personally hidden items, commander-assigned mission (if any), and equipped premium outfit. Things that transfer with the player include vanities (hearts, storm cloud, etc.), gold/silver/bronze standing, and the character level. Note that you will remain a mush agent and keep your mush skills; however, all spores the two characters had will be removed.

6 Splashproof Fungic research has brought to light a new mucus which is perfect for making this change. "Showering doesn't cause you to lose any HP."

This ability is passive.

7 Doorman Some rampant macrolepiota can imitate the unpleasant effects of proactive puffed rice. That works out well for you as the Mush has given you its genotype. "Every day, you can Sabotage a Door for free."

This ability is passive and secret. The door to be sabotaged is chosen at random from those in your room.

7 Slimetrap These damn mushrooms reproduce quickly. Really quickly. Too quickly! They're everywhere! "For 1 AP, the targeted player gets dirty in between 1 and 4 cycles"

This ability is secret; however, it will not be logged if you are alone with the target. The target will become dirty even if they have the apron in their inventory.

8 Nightmarish lepiotas Mush can reshape the waves these poor humans. With some modification, they can prevent a human to rest. "For 0 AP, you can trigger nightmares in a sleeping player. They will no longer receive the sleep bonus."

This action is secret; however, it will not be logged if you are alone with the target. It is also aggressive, which is affected by Ian's Pacifism and Chao's Crazy Eyes. The victim's regular sleep message will be different, but they will not know who cursed them. The effect lasts until the victim gets up; after that, they can sleep normally.

9 Ninja With your boosted myelin, your movement speed is incredible. "Your hand-to-hand attacks become anonymous actions."

Change the name of the assailant to "Someone".

10 Bacterophile Your 10 foot bacteria may have uses particularly virulent. "For 2 AP, you can give a disease to a teammate."

This ability is secret; however, it will not be logged if you are alone with the target. It is also aggressive, which is affected by Ian's Pacifism and Chao's Crazy Eyes. The disease is chosen at random.

11 Fertile Your spore production is remarkable. Spore one day, spore forever. "Every day, you can extract one spore at no cost."

This ability is passive and only benefits the possessor. Any spores after the first will cost energy as usual.

11 Mycellium Spirit Your mission is sacred. "As long as you are alive, the mush can produce one additional Spore per day."

This ability is passive and applies the entire mush team. It stacks, so each mush with this trait increases the spore limit further.

12 Nimble Fingers With a little help from your rhizomes, you can do wonderful things...such as manipulating cameras. "Installing and removing cameras is secret for you."

This ability is passive and secret; however, the camera by itself cannot detect the manipulation.

13 Radio Pirate This method of prehistoric communication is overrated. Duly noted. "For 3 AP, you can jam communications of a player. This breaks the Walky-Talky and allows you to write in their place."

This ability is secret; however, it will not be logged if you are alone with the target.

14 Infector You make 14 holes. Small holes. Many small holes. "Allows you to punch once more every day."
15 NERON Access The ambiguities in the NERON code are tempting for the Mush sometimes ... "You can access the NERON BIOS even if you are not the Administrator."
16 Pyromaniac The arsonist can inject microspores explosives in a flammable surface to trigger a violent combustion that may eventually damage the ship. "For 4 AP, start a fire in your current room."

This action is secret, and the fire is IMMEDIATELY announced by NERON.

17 NERON Depression When NERON gets sick, it's the Daedalus that vomits. "For 3 AP, you cause NERON to randomly change its settings next round."
18 Mass Moisification Description. "Text."
