Revision as of 10:28, 17 March 2014

This article will try to keep track of any changes made during Mush patches and any additions between new Episodes.

Prologue

The Prologue was Mush's beta period.

Mush was in closed beta status from 19 August 2013 until launch on 5 November 2013. The earliest beta testers were invited directly by Epoq, the game's administrator, with limited-use beta keys being released on Facebook and Twitter as time went on.

Initial voyages were extremely limited in functionality. Motion Twin wanted to make sure that a particular module was well tested before releasing new modules for the crews to use and experiment with.

Module release schedule:

19 Aug 2013
Navigation/AstroTerminal
22 Aug 2013
Research Lab
23 Aug 2013
Nexus
27 Aug 2013
Communications Center
02 Sep 2013
PILGRED
04 Sep 2013
Expeditions
16 Sep 2013
All remaining modules

For the upcoming episode, following changes have been sighted on the French version thus far:

  1. Two new characters: Icon Andie Graham and Icon Derek Hogan, both with unique skills and traits.
  2. Six new human skills: Icon Devotion, Icon Polyvalent, Icon Confident, Icon Expert, Icon Motivator and Icon Hygienist. (More details in the new characters' articles)
  3. Two new Icon Mush skills, at 5 and 9, respectively.
    1. One skill makes selected electronics bug in 1-4 cycles.
      • "For 1 Action Point, you can cause an electronic item to break. It will take several cycles before it breaks."
    2. Another skill deletes the room's log in 1-4 cycles.
  4. Icon Wrestler can now force characters to leave the room with a special action.
  5. New status: IconPregnant (from doing the thing)
    • Only gained by female characters (not Icon Andie). 8% chance.
    • Gives an immediate bonus of 8 Glory.
    • If a Pregnant character dies, the entire crew loses more Morale.
    • If the father injects an Icon Spore when the baby is made, the mother is affected by an extra Spore.
    • Gives various diseases like Disease Slight Nausea.
  6. New status: IconGrand Inactif ("Super Inactive")
    • "You're super inactive, not having connected in the past 48 hours. You are a punishment to your crew who has a right to dispose of you."
    • Violence against Grand Inactif players is not sanctionable
  7. The Icon Inactive status is no longer lost when the character is attacked.
  8. The Icon Inactive status prevents the character from gaining Glory.
  9. Introduction of alien merchant ships which allow the trading of items and even characters (for instance, selling off Grand Inactif players with no penalty).
    • Merchants appear in place of Hunters sometimes.
    • Interaction happens via the Comms Console.
    • A merchant always spawns on Day 0.
    • Being sold is not considered a death in terms of morale loss and Distinctions.
  10. Items can no longer be hidden before the Icon Mush appear.
  11. The Icon Mush Sample spawns on the ship when the Icon Mush appear.
  12. Icon Myco-Alarms now also detect the special actions of Icon Fungal Kitchen, Icon Trapper, Icon Radio Pirate, Icon Nightmarish, Icon Bacteriophiliac and Icon Transfer, as well as Infectious Caress (on Icon Schrödinger) and the act of mutating into a Icon Berzerker.
    • To balance this, a smaller number of MycoAlarms will be produced from the research.
  13. Icon Bacteriophiliac had its action Action Point cost adjusted.
  14. Icon Nightmarish had its action Action Point cost adjusted.
  15. Changes to Glory objectives.
    • Icon Roland now gains Glory for every 2 killed Hunters, rather than every single one.
  16. Many, many bugfixes, including a promised fix for the chat window.
