Warning: This article pertains to info gathered from the French version of Mush. It is not (yet) available to players of the English version.

Andie Graham is a new upcoming character. (S)he and Derek Hogan may occasionally replace Finola Keegan and Wang Chao, respectively, turning the ship into an alternate timeline version where Finola was not captured and Chao didn't make it through the mission.

Andie's skill set consists of:

   • Gains a bonus 3 when accepting a Commander mission.
   • Potential English name (based on icon filename): Devoted
3. Polyvalent
   • You are considered Botanist, Diplomat and Biologist, but you do not gain their special actions or action points.
     • This most likely means that Andie only gets the respective Research efficiency, NERON Project bonuses and Exploration effects, but from all 3 skills.
   • Potential English name (based on icon filename): Skillful
4. Confident
   • Once a day, other crewmembers can confide into you to regain 2 , in turn revealing their X most recent actions to you, with X being your current .
   • Potential English name: Confidant
5. Expert
   • Your actions have a 20% increased success chance, at the expense of a higher chance of injury and of becoming Dirty.

How to play

Andie seems to be a person of many skills, but also torn between several responsibilities:

While Devoted is only mediocre in terms of / day, and resticting the Commander in his mission choices, the ability to gain 6 on the fly (pun intended) can be excellent for a Pilot fighting hunters or collecting scrap (especially combined with food, and Teslatron Reservoir). Also adding better hit chances from Expert, this combination would arguably make him/her the most capable pilot on board.

Replacing Finola, however, (s)he will likely be expected to pick Skillful and spearhead the research as she would, especially if Ian is not a Biologist. This, in turn, will not leave much time for other demanding jobs. So much like with Frieda, the pilot skill may turn out to be more of a backup, and a help to conduct expeditions. - Which, again, Andie is very good at (arguably better than Hua, except for survival) thanks to the great Diplomat bonus, and extra Unknown item from being considered a Botanist.

Being everyone's Confidant(e) lets Andie help the ship's morale, as well as help with the Mush hunt by clearing people of suspicion. And finally, the general bonus and success chances from being Devoted + Expert can enable him/her to do just about anything better than the average crew member, if needed.

So all in all, (s)he will be a good choice for players who put the ship first, and are willing to fill in whatever role will be needed the most.

Notes

• As with Derek Hogan, Andie's character artwork seems to have been done by a different artist. It may or may not be temporary.
• Everyone can flirt with Andie, and s/he can do the thing with everyone. They are therefore the first bisexual character on the ship. Originally written as a bisexual, androgynous male, Andie was rewritten with an ambiguous gender (and the pronouns changed accordingly in their bio), most likely to allow the players to roleplay Andie as they wish (male or female, straight, bi or gay).

Abandoned by his/her parents in the first months of his/her existence, Andie is saved by a commission of the SDF. (S)he is promptly placed in a specialized home as SDF protegé, where his/her innate abilities are soon discovered. (S)he is then swiftly planted in an SDF-controlled school and enters the Federation Youth Program.

(S)he remains brilliant in his/her studies and enters the most prestigious university of the Federation. Constantly indoctrinated during his/her studies, Andie heeds nothing other than the way of the Federation. Despite his/her naiveté, Andie is very popular and never has any trouble making friends. With his/her angelic face, (s)he unwittingly attracts the sympathy of all. His/her roommate, Viktor Carlsson, secretly planted in the university by his father Nils, dearly pays for their friendship. For confiding his secret mission to him/her during conversation, he soon finds himself arrested for conspiracy. Andie innocently thinks that he just switched courses...

Andie makes the acquaintance of sergeant instructor Derek Hogan who, being portrayed as a national hero, spends the entirety of his lessons telling stories of his fantastic life. Andie discovers the father figure (s)he's been missing in his/her instructor and begins to idolize him. (S)he believes every word of his tales and stories and begins to dream of travelling through space as well.

Andie enchaîne les études afin de servir au mieux les besoins de la fédération. Il/Elle passe brillamment trois thèses, en botanique pour son texte sur les propriétés curatives de la bulbe brachenne de Tau-Ceti, en biologie avec son étude sur le comportement social des amibes polarisées de la mer égée de la troisième planète du système sol, et enfin en diplomatie avec son rapport de médiation, qui d'après les jury, aurait pu inspirer les négociateurs ayant échoué à prévenir la grande bataille de Sol. Il/Elle devient le/la premier(ère) triple lauréat(e) de la fédération.

Ses études terminées, Andie décide de devenir pilote, il/elle s'engage donc dans la division aérienne de la fédération et passe son brevet haut la main. Il/Elle demande à être affecté(e) sur Xyloph-17 et ne tarde pas à être remarqué(e) par Kim Jin Su. Derek lui ne le/la reconnait pas.

Loin de se douter des enjeux qui se dessine dans l'ombre, et pensant toujours servir la fédération ardamment, Andie embarque à bord du Daedalus.
