Bridge

The Command Terminal is an equipment located in the Bridge. The Icon Commander can pilot Daedalus from this terminal. Can be dirty. When the PILGRED Reactor is repaired, it offers the option to return to earth, which ends the game instantly. Also offers the option to go to Eden if the Pilgred is repaired and the coordinates of Eden have been calculated.

Actions

Icon TODO: Can someone check all this in details and remove this tag?

Access Terminal

  • Requires: Icon Commander only. Can be overridden with Icon Hacker Kit.
  • Effect: Moduling.png Opens the Command Terminal
  • Icon Public log: [Person] has accessed the Command Terminal.

Terminal

Steering the DAEDALUS

This section shows the current bearing of the DAEDALUS and allows to change it.

1-3Action Point Change Heading

  • Effects:
    • The DAEDALUS changes direction.
    • If hunters are surrounding the ship, this might cause a collision, damaging the hunter. The operation is still successful.
    • The cost is of 1Action Point for each 90° angle that needs to be made (note that 270° might be necessary if a Lateral Reactor is broken)
  • Icon Announcement: The ship has changed heading. It is now headed for : <dir>

Moving the DAEDALUS

1Action Point Leave Orbit/Move

  • Requires: No Arrack is attached to the DAEDALUS, at least 1 unit of Fuel is loaded in the Combustion Chamber
  • Effect: The DAEDALUS starts moving, and will reach its destination at the next cycle change.
    • All Fuel in the Combustion Chamber is consumed: this determines the distance traveled by the DAEDALUS.
    • If any expedition is in progress, any member is immediately killed, and the Icarus is definitely lost.
    • If any pilot is currently flying, he/she is immediately killed (unless NERON project Magnetic Net is complete). This also applies to piloting drones.
    • At cycle change, a fraction of the hunters will catch up with the DAEDALUS
    • If the Daedalus is in infinite space, and a planet currently available at the AstroTerminal is precisely at the right distance in the right direction, its orbit will be reached. In any other case, the Daedalus will reach a new position in infinite space
    • All current planets in the AstroTerminal are lost. New ones can be immediately scanned as if the destination was already reached.
  • Icon Public log: [person] is getting the voyage underway. Their excitement is visible and their zeal is palpable. The game is afoot !
  • Icon Announcement:
    • (if going from infinite space, whatever the destination) Daedalus in motion. New Orbit reached in 1 cycle.
    • (if going from a planet, to infinite space) Announcement: Leaving immediate orbit Navigations systems frozen for 1 cycles.
    • (if going to a planet) Announcement: planet detected on destination tracking systems.

PILGRED

2Action Point Return to Sol

  • Requires: PILGRED Reactor is complete
  • Effect: The DAEDALUS returns to Sol
    • Pilots flying or expedition members are brought along
    • The game ends, with a human win if, and only if, no Icon Mush are alive.

2Action Point Go to Eden

  • Requires: PILGRED Reactor is complete, coordinates of Eden have been obtained with the calculator using 3 Icon Starmap Fragments
  • Effect: The DAEDALUS goes to Eden, the game ends immediately
    • Flying pilots or expedition members are brought along
    • The game ends: humans win if, and only if, no Icon Mush are alive.

General Information

This section of the Command Terminal gives the following information:

  • The indicative level of difficulty reached by the ship (D6+ then D12+)
  • Activity level represents percentage of active crew members compared to Icon Inactives.
