Description: A good diplomat knows how to communicate effectively with extra-terrestrials.
  • Eliminates the chance of encountering hostility from extra-terrestrials.
  • Can declare a ceasefire once per game.

Having this skill on the crew in addition to a Icon Babel Module is a major gateway opener for an Eden ending, as you will gain a much higher number of Alien Artifacts this way, among which there is a chance for a Icon Starmap Fragment. The Ceasefire ability may also prove useful to disarm a brainless murder if you stumble upon it, to defend somebody from the Icon Mush, or to defend yourself or your co-conspirator when you are the Mush.

General effects

  • New action: Ceasefire
    • Cost: 1 Action Point
    • Target: Current room
    • Effects: Nobody can perform any Aggressive actions in the room until it expires or the user leaves. A ceasefire will automatically end at the start of the third cycle after it was initiated, so if you call it at the end of a cycle, you only get two full cycles of protection out of it.
      • Single Action; can only be performed once per game.
  • When on an Expedition, removes any possibility of a Fight event.
