Restructure
This page might need some major restructuring. Right now the main focus is on actions' privacy levels, leaving little space for detailed explanations on how certain Actions work. It might even be worth considering moving this entire page to a "Privacy Levels" page and leaving a

Covert action icon
I just created a bunch of templates to handle the Privacy level display of an action. Examples:
This raises the issue of Covert actions lacking their own, distinct icon. I'm not sure on how to proceed, so I wanted to fetch your opinions on this.
I have used the following icon for the template:
This is factually incorrect, since that icon reflects that a
Secret/
Covert action has been detected and made public (which should be written in the article, by the way). However, it's the most fitting "alternate" icon I found...
What do you think? Should it just use the same icon as Secret, potentially creating confusion, or do we perhaps make an alternate icon for the wiki? I could change the colors or pixel a new one real quick. Ividyon (talk)
- I still like the camera for the template since it meshes with my brain better that "this level requires a camera to screw you". If backtracked.png is what shows in the logs if you get caught, I'd say note that on the page and this will be one of those few areas where we don't stick to what the game says/shows. Table structure
Do we really need the skill names on these? Where it's not N/A, most of them are simply a repeat of the action column. It's almost like an information overload. Also, I really want to avoid bold black text inside the tables as much as possible, reserving it for where it's mimicking in-game text or absolutely necessary because it clashes with the column headers imo. Spacekadt (talk)
- I'd agree; to me it seems like writing "Skill Required:
Slimetrap" and then writing Using Slimetrap in the field next to that is over the top. Actions which have different results based on whether you not you have a skill can have separate rows (like "Removing a camera (with
Nimble Fingers)" and "Removing a camera (without
Nimble Fingers)". Last but not least, the column for the
Mush icon also seems unnecessary, since you can see it's a Mush action by the color of the Skill icon most of the time, and where it isn't, you can add the Mush icon in the Action column itself. Ividyon (talk) 22:40, 19 December 2013 (MST)
- There are lots of Actions that don't have the same name as skills. The Mush advanced skills I have no idea what the actions are called, that's why I just left them as "Use Skillname". We probably should change those to "TODO". Some example of skills without obvious corresponding action...Fungal Kitchen -> Contaminate, Leader -> Speech, Shrink -> Comfort, etc. These are things that makes me believe that in the long run, separating skill from action will save us a lot of headaches...especially considering we haven't added many skill-based actions in, yet. When a new user wants to find out what "Contaminate" is, this page will tell them it's part of their Fungal Kitchen skill. As for the Mush Icon, I like it there because it aligns the names. Sagittaeri (talk) 07:57, 20 December 2013 (MST)
- I don't think that we specifically need to use the same action name, merely describe what action it's meant to be. Any in-game actions can be printed in bold, but anything else can be written in regular text, clarifying what is the action name and what isn't. To me, this:
Action Room Log Notes Consume an object (Rations, fruit, coffee, pills etc.)
Warning: TODO. Extract oxygen or fuel from the tanks
Warning: TODO. Hide an object
Warning: TODO.
Mush: Extract Spore [Mush] has removed a spore. It's truly repulsive. And the smell...
Mush: Sabotage ship equipment
Warning: TODO.
Pyromaniac: Start a fire
Warning: TODO.
Trapper: Booby-Trap Unit [Trapper] seemed to have suspiciously slipped something onto [trapped object].
- is preferable to this:
Skill Required Action Room Log Notes N/A Eating food
Warning: TODO. N/A Drinking coffee
Warning: TODO. N/A Eating a pill
Warning: TODO. N/A Extracting oxygen or fuel from the tanks
Warning: TODO. N/A Hiding an object
Warning: TODO.
N/A Use Extract Spore [Mush] has removed a spore. It's truly repulsive. And the smell...
N/A Use Sabotage
Warning: TODO.
Pyromaniac Use
Pyromaniac
Warning: TODO.
Trapper Use
Trapper on a room [Trapper] seemed to have suspiciously slipped something onto [trapped object].
- While I really like the renamed actions where only what's in game button text is Bold, I still kinda like a separate column for required skills. I think it's an OCD thing...I like things aligned. :P Anyway, I'm happy to go with majority opinion. Sagittaeri (talk) 09:14, 20 December 2013 (MST)

Mush Channel Logs
Moving the conversation here:
Note: do these really belong on this page? these are the mush channel logs, not actions that a person takes
Note: I believe it is. New human players will want to know if they get any logs from eating contaminated rations etc. Sagittaeri (talk) 07:59, 20 December 2013 (MST)
