Relaying is the process of resetting each other's efficiency in work involving Research, NERON Projects and PILGRED Reactor repairs.
How it works
When you participate in one of the types of projects listed above, you progress its development by a certain percentage. This percentage drops lower with every consecutive participation, meaning that a single character cannot burn through their
gauge to finish a project immediately, as their efficiency will keep dropping all the way down to 0%.
If another character participates in a project, they reset everyone else's work efficiency back to what it initially was. This is the idea behind relaying - alternating work on the project between 2 or more characters will keep each of them working at their full efficiency, meaning
are spent as efficiently as possible and progress happens at a steady, strong pace.
Related skills
NERON's only friend - Having this skill in the crew means that NERON project efficiency will be at a flat percentage, rather than a random percentage in a range between two numbers. This means that, for example, a project where you'd usually have a starting efficiency of 13-17%, then 9-13% etc. will turn into an efficiency of 17%, 13% etc.
