Banana
Banana
In-game Description Effects of Consumption
A nice, ripe banana is perfect for those times when you're a bit peckish
+1 Action Point

+1 Health Point
+1 Morale
+1 Satisfaction

Origins

1 x Produced by adult, healthy, watered Icon Banana Tree each Cycle 1
2 x Found in Garden when the ship starts on Day 1

Bananas are fruits produced by each adult Icon Banana Tree at the beginning of Cycle 1, provided that it is not Plant diseased.png Diseased, Plant thirsty.png Thirsty or Plant dry.png Dried Out.

A Banana can be consumed and gives 1 Action Point 1 Health Point, 1 Morale and 1 satisfaction: humans who haven't eaten for long enough can eat a Banana followed by any other food.

A Banana can also be planted in an empty Icon HydroPot: it will immediately create a Plant youngling.pngYoung Banana Tree, which will eventually grow (after 36 cycles) and make its own daily production.

On long running ships, Icon Janice is the person who is expected to eat the Banana due to how she can't recover as much Morale as her crewmates.

As all other perishable consumables, if the FoodStuff Destruction setting on the BIOS is turned ON, the Bananas will be destroyed on day change (as with all other fruits, they are produced after NERON destroys the food from the day before).
