Starmap Fragments are the key to the Eden ending, 3 of these are required to reach the new world. One Starmap Fragment unlocks the 
Super Calculator research, which in turn lets the crew triangulate Eden's position with 3 Starmap Fragments present.
They can only be found while exploring planets. The biggest chances of finding one are in the 
Cristalite areas, but it can also be discovered in case of Artefact events in certain zones.
