The Oscilloscope is your best friend if you're in charge of maintaining the 
of the Daedalus or the Patrol Crafts. Not only does it double your rate of success, which saves on 
, but it doubles the points regained with each piece of 
Scrap Metal used (10 instead of 5).
It should be assembled and kept in Alpha Bay 2, where the Scraps will automatically be stored every time someone collects them with the Pasiphae. The Oscilloscope needs to be in your inventory for the bonuses to apply. The Scrap Metal, however, can be left on the shelf.
