The Plasma Shield is considered as one of the best NERON Projects available.
Once the research is complete, the NERON Admin must enable the shields from the BIOS Terminal in the Nexus. The ship will immediately be protected by a shield which starts at 50hp and takes damage instead of the ships armor.
The Shield will regenerate 5hp per cycle up to a Maximum of 100 (if not under attack).
It may not block 100% of damage, as it has been witnessed that the Armor continues to take random, small amounts of damage even when the plasma shield is active when under attack from hunters.
Asteroid damage is not blocked by the Plasma Shields.
