The Myco-Alarm is an item that can only be obtained through the research project "MycoAlarm" (which shares the same name). The research creates 5 new MycoAlarms in the Laboratory.

Uses

  • MycoAlarm are instruments, like all instruments they provide a passive effect for the room when they are put in the room's shelf.
    • works even when hidden.
    • does not work if you are carrying it (human or mush).

A mycoAlarm will displays an alert in the room logs if a mush infects someone in that room. It is only a text of a sound, together with the time it happened. It does not give any other specific details. (see images below)

MycoAlarms can be handled by mush players without causing the alarm to go off.

Notes

  • If you have researched Pheromodem which let humans access to mush channel, you don't need MycoAlarm anymore because Pheromodem can reveal all sporing actions from the logs of the mush channel, which is more powerful and effective than MycoAlarm.

Trivia

  • The name of research project is called MycoAlarm, while the item itself is called Myco-Alarm (note the hyphen).
