These are pictures I dig for possible backgrounds. It doesn't even remotely mean we're limited to these, but rather to give an idea of the stuff I'm really loving.
Round two:
I'd want to recolor that last one to something more blue or purple rather than being so orange.
I also envision a static background. Hopefully something that has some nice details in the side margins, since that's all most people will really see. I'm guessing that kinda goes without saying when you're looking at things like this since you can't really tile them, but saying it anyway.
