== Mush and Water ==

The Mush can be hurt by water, but why? It's only water.

It can be interesting to consider some of the things outside of the game that ''may'' have influenced the developer during the games original concept (consciously or not).

The game mush is one of many games from [http://twinoid.com/en/tid/team Motion-Twin], another Motion-Twin game is [http://www.die2nite.com/ Die2Nite] which some may say is the precursor to mush.
In Die2Nite the human players are fighting to survive against a growing zombie horde. The zombies in this game are also hurt by water, like the mush.

One thing these two games have in common is that "''the bad guys''" are hurt by water.

There are older works of fiction with a similar idea.

[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lord_of_the_Rings The Lord of the Rings], (1954) the Nazgûl are first defeated crossing the River Bruinen.

[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wizard_of_Oz_(1939_film) The Wizard of Oz] (1939), Dorothy defeats the Wicked Witch with a bucket of water.

If we focus on the undead in pop culture we continually see [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_water holy water] appearing as a viable weapon.

[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Van_Helsing_(film) Van Helsing] (2004, movie)

[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HeroQuest Heros Quest] (1989, board game)

...and countless others.

Of course the mush aliens are not undead, however they are in ways ''like'' the undead and not just because of the vulnerability to water.

With the arrival of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resident_Evil Resident Evil] (1996) and other works it has now become common in pop culture to refer to "''the zombie infection''" where we would have otherwise considered a zombie apocalypse to be the result of voodoo magic or some other unnatural effect.

The use of the word infection along with the spreading of the infection, converting humans to zombies/mush, is another parallel.
Looking at the [http://mush.twinoid.com/help?cat=intro&scat=long_time%20ago mush history page] we can even see the words "''...nothing but a mindless zombie''".

== Mush Actions ==
[[Image: Actions_Mush.gif|thumb|right|A list of actions in an example game of Mush.]]
{{Main|Actions}}

As the Mush you will have new actions available to you in addition to your human actions.

Some of these actions are available to all Mush, such as '''Extract a spore'''. Other actions only become available to a mush player with the associated skill, such as the '''Booby-Trap Unit''' action which is linked to the {{Skill|Trapper}} skill.

== Converting to Mush ==

Apart from the two players who start the game as {{Character|Mush}} (often called '''Alpha Mush''') the only way that a human player can become a Mush is by having a number of spores attached to them.

At the start of every game, only 3 spores are needed to convert a human player to a {{Character|Mush}} player. In the later game this number may change to 4 spores if the humans finish the [[Research|Mushovore Bacteria research]].

A human victim will be converted to Mush immediately after the last spore is attached. The ship's crew log is also immediately updated.

=== Attaching a spore ===
[[Image: Status-Spores.png|frame]]

There are a number of ways that a {{character|Mush}} can attach a spore to a human.

* [[Infect]], a basic Mush action which is unlocked by default
** [[NPCs|Schrödinger]] can be infected and will transfer a spore to anyone that gets scratched. (The same person can be spored by Schrödinger more than once if they get injured multiple times.) Cuddling does not transfer spores.
** {{Skill|Fungal Kitchen}} (requires {{Character Level|Mush|1}}), a skill that spikes a consumable item with a spore, infecting the character who consumes it.
** {{Skill|Trapper}} (requires {{Character Level|Mush|5}}), a skill which places a spore in the current room, transferring it to the next character that performs any room action.
* [[Actions#Doing it|"Doing it"]] An action that is intended to raise morale, but can get spored if you are doing it with a {{Character|Mush}}.

Apart from the above, a human may also get spored when they are on [[Expeditions]] and travel through [[Zones#Cristalite|Cristalite zones]] which have a chance to infect all traveling characters with a spore.

==== '''Infect''' example ====

In this next example, the humans have finished the [[Research|Mushovore Bacteria research]] and 4 spores are now required for a conversion.
{|
|[[Image:Infect1.png|thumb|none|Here, {{Character|Paola}} is human and does not know she has spores attached to her.]]
|[[Image:Infect2.png|thumb|none|At this point, Paola has been infected again and is now a {{Character|Mush}}.]]
|[[Image:Infect3.png|thumb|none|This is later in the game. We can now see that Paola has chosen her Mush skills and created her own spore.]]
|}

==Tips==

* You may infect a human only once per day, as a mush. Unless you get a skill {{Skill|Infector}} which lets you infect others twice per day.
* No one can see you taking a shower. But if you pick up a soap, people may find out that you've taken a shower.

Pause: /* List of Research projects */

'''Research''' plays an extremely vital role of fighting the {{Character|Mush}} menace, slowing their advance and complicating their foul deeds. Eventually, as research grows more complex and advanced tools become available, a permanent Mush cure and a [[Ending the Game#Eden|a distant Utopian world]] can even be discovered. Nothing is impossible for the resourceful crew for the Daedalus!

== Mechanics ==

The '''Research Lab''' terminal can be accessed in the [[Ship Equipment#Laboratory|Laboratory]]. It brings up options for fighting {{Character|Mush}}, granting the crew bonus {{Glory}} '''Glory''' and provides a number of useful commodities.

Research can be a [[Dirty]] affair, and since NERON will lock unclean personnel out of the research console, wearing the [[Inventory#Gear|Stainproof Apron]] when participating is recommended to avoid long treks to the shower.

Participating in research costs 2 {{AP}}, and the efficiency is increased for {{Skill|Biologist}} and {{Skill|Medic}} characters.

The [[BIOS Terminal|BIOS]] affects research in that the '''Crew Lock''' can be set to '''Research''', limiting participation to {{Skill|Biologist}} and {{Skill|Medic}} characters, and '''CPU Priority''' can also be set to '''Research''', increasing efficiency by 1%. {{Todo|Percentage needs confirmation}}

Many research options have certain conditions that must be met before they become available, including the presence of certain [[Inventory|objects]] or [[Characters|characters]] in the Laboratory.
If these conditions are not met, the research option will not be visible, though any progress made on them is preserved.
The most important conditions for research are:
*Presence of a [[Inventory#Instruments|Mush Sample]] (can be replaced by decoding a [[Communications|Xyloph DB entry]]
*Presence of the [[Inventory#Instruments|Mush Genome Disk]], which can be obtained by decoding a [[Communications|Xyloph DB entry]]
*The presence of {{Character|Chun|long}} (can be replaced by decoding a [[Communications|Xyloph DB entry]]
*The death of a {{Character|Mush}} agent (the place of death is irrelevant, it can be even outside Daedalus)

The {{Glory}} gained for certain research projects is immediately obtained by all living humans upon completion, and an additional {{Glory}} can be earned when [[Ending the Game|reaching Sol or Eden]].
{{Character|Chun}} earns an additional 4 {{Glory}} each time a research requiring her presence is completed.
{{Character|Finola}} earns an additional 3 {{Glory}} for all Mush-related research.

The action costs 3 AP to trigger and is irreversible.
Upon mutating the mush player will drop all of their items and lose all of their skills, both human skills and mush skills (''maybe not the passive mush skills. Confirmation needed.'').
Also removed are some of the default actions such as [[extract a spore]] and [[Infect]].
The now mutated mush player will be unable to pick up items or speak on the public channel.
Mutating will heal the player and give a bonus to unarmed attacks.

When Mutate is used it is often as a last resort and can quickly determinant how the game will end.
With fill AP a Mutated much can easily kill a healthy human player (however you must be aware of [[Characters#Ian_Soulton|Ian's]] Pacifist Trait).
[[Image: Actions_Mush.gif|thumb|right|A list of actions in an example game of Mush.]]
{{Main|Actions}}

As the Mush you will have new actions available to you in addition to your human actions.

Some of these actions are available to all Mush, such as '''Extract a spore'''. Otheractions only become available to a mush player with the associated Skill, such as the '''Booby-Trap Unit''' action which is linked to the {{Skill|Trapper}} skill.

== Converting to Mush ==

Apart from the two players who start the game as {{Character|Mush}} (often called '''Alpha Mush''') the only way that a human player can become a Mush is by having a number of spores attached to them.

At the start of every game, only 3 spores are needed to convert a {{Character|Human}} player to a {{Character|Mush}} player. In the later game this number may change to 4 spores if the humans finish the [[Research|Mushovore Bacteria research]].

A human victim will be converted to Mush immediately after the last spore is attached. The ship's crew log is also immediately updated.

=== Attaching a spore ===
[[Image: Status-Spores.png|frame]]

There are a number of ways that a spore can become attached to a human.

*[[Infect]], a default Mush action.
*{{Skill|Fungal Kitchen}}, a skill that spikes a consumable item with a spore, infecting the character who consumes it.
*{{Skill|The Trapper}}, a skill which spikes a room's shelf unit with a spore, transfering it to the next character that uses it.
*[[NPCs|Schrödinger]] can be infected with a spore, transfering it to the next character who caresses him.
*[[Zones|Cristalite]] zones on Expeditions have a chance to infect all traveling characters with a spore.
*[[Actions#Doing it|"Doing it"]] An action that is intended to raise morale.

It costs 2 {{AP}}, or 4 {{AP}} when ''Constipaspore Serum'' [[research]] is completed. With a {{Skill|Fertile}} skill a mush can produce one spore per day for free.

Pause: /* Basic Mush Actions */

==Basic Actions==
A basic action is an action that all players have and does not need to be unlocked by choosing a skill. Mush players have addition basic actions (see [[Actions#Basic_Mush_Actions|Basic ''Mush'' Actions]]).

===Kick off===
An aggressive action that inflicts 1-3 points of damage to the target with a base accuracy of 60%. It costs 1 {{AP}}. Affected by: {{Skill|Sneak}}, {{Skill|Solid}}, {{Skill|Wrestler}}, {{Skill|Ninja}} skills and {{Character|Ian}}'s [[image:pacifist.png]]''Pacifist'' trait.

===Hide===
Hiding items prevents them from appearing on the room's shelves. But they still remain being effective (e.g. [[MycoAlarm]]). It costs 1 {{AP}} to hide an item.

===Search===
It allows for discovering one hidden item per attempt. It costs 1 {{AP}}, unless a character has the {{Skill|Observant}} skill, which makes search a free action.

===Lie down===
If there is an unoccupied bed a character can lie down to receive 1 bonus {{AP}} when cycles change.

===Get up===
Leave this cosy little nest and face the cruel world!

===Flirt===
Flirt between partners is required before "Doing it". It costs 1 {{AP}}.

===Doing it===
"Doing it" raises morale by 2 {{Morale}} points. It can also transfer spores from a mush to a human partner. This action can be initiated only once per day and costs 1 {{AP}}. Following conditions must be met before "doing it" is allowed:
* Partners must be of opposite sex
* They must have flirted with each other
* Both awake
* A room must have a bed in it
* Without cameras and onlookers

===Guard===
Allows to take a stance, which disallows any entering crew members from passing through the room. The stance is broken when any other action is issued.

This action is Aggressive. It could be subject to certain restrictions.

{{Todo|Cost and requirements}}

==Basic ''Mush'' Actions==
A basic mush action is an action that all mush players have and does not need to be unlocked by choosing a skill. These actions are in addition to the "basic actions" already listed above.

===[[Extract a spore]]===
This creates a spore and stores it for a later use. The action makes a mush dirty, even if wearing the ''Stainproof Apron''. The entire mush team can produce a total of 4 spores each day (which can be reduced to 2 by ''Antispore Gas'' [[research]] and increased by 1 with {{Skill|Mycelium Spirit}} skill), and each mush can carry a maximum of 2 spores at any time. It costs 2 {{AP}}, or 4 {{AP}} when ''Constipaspore Serum'' [[research]] is completed. With a {{Skill|Fertile}} skill a mush can produce one spore per day for free.

===[[Infect]]===
This uses one of stored spores and transfers it to a targeted human in the same room. In order to convert a human to mush, they need to be infected 3 times (4 after ''Mushovore Bacteria'' [[research]] is completed). However, each mush can only infect once per day (twice with an {{Skill|Infector}} skill). This action costs 1 {{AP}}.

During a journey in ''Mush'', the players have several '''personal resources''' at their disposal. Managing them properly is the key between victory and failure.

== Action Points ==

===General===

Action Points [[image: Pa slot1.png]] are one of the main attributes of character. They correspond to a unit of time / energy which must be used to perform an action (attempt to). Most actions costs 1-2 [[image: Pa slot1.png]], but there are also more complex actions that requires more [[image: Pa slot1.png]]. APs can also be replaced with [[image: Pa slot2.png]], but not vice versa. APs usage can be reduced in specific conditions by some [[Inventory|items]]

===Obtaining===

Each character regenerates +1[[image: Pa slot1.png]] at the beginning of each cycle. If character sleeps at cycles change regenerates 1+1[[image: Pa slot1.png]]. There are [[Skills]] and [[Characters|personal traits]] that can affect both negatively and positively points regeneration. Another way to gain some [[image: Pa slot1.png]] is to [[Inventory#Rations|eat, drink]] or take [[Inventory#Rations|pills]](pills have randomly assigned properties at the beginning of game - so it`s not desirable to take any without knowledge how it affects).

=== Skill-specific Action Points ===

Some of actions can be performed by consuming special, skill-specific APs, designed exclusively for unique types of activities. These special points arise from the character's skills and are beyond the standard [[image: Pa slot1.png]].
These are obtained by specific skills. They can be spend only on skill related jobs in 1 to 1 ratio - one action (attempt) cost one point.
== Movement Points ==

===General===

Movement points [[image:Pa slot2.png]] are used to move between the rooms of the ship (moving within room is absolutely unlimited). Any passage doors costs 1 [[image:Pa slot2.png]]. The exception is [[Terrence Archer]], which moves for free, as long as in room which He leaves was another crew member.

===Obtaining===

At the beginning of each cycle one [[image:Pa slot2.png]] is recovered. Movement Points can also be obtained through the exchange of [[image:Pa slot1.png]] Action Points. The exchange takes place automatically when character move to another room and have no more [[image:Pa slot2.png]] but have at least 1 [[image:Pa slot1.png]]. Then 1 [[image:Pa slot1.png]] is replaced by a 3 [[image:Pa slot2.png]]. The amount of points received in this way may be affected by: [[Characters|personal traits]], [[Inventory|items]] and [[Ship Equipment]].

== Experience ==

{{XP}} Experience Points are a player account currency that are earned while playing and used to level up the various characters available in ''Mush''.
They are not bound to any character up to the point where you invest them into a level-up.

You can use {{XP}} to level up any of the 16 [[Characters|human characters]] or invest them into new skills for the {{Character|Mush}}.

=== How to gain {{XP}} Experience ===

On every cycle change you gain 1 {{XP}} (or 2 {{XP}} If you're playing in {{Gold Mode}}).

The [[Welcome Pack]] gives you a one-time bonus of 80 {{XP}}.

=== Experience Table ===

An overview showing how much {{XP}} is needed to unlock various skill levels:

== Glory Points ==
[[Image: Mush-alfa.png|frame]]
The Glory Points are divided into two categories, Human {{Glory}} and Mush {{Glory|Mush}}.

=== Human Glory ===

{{Glory}} is earned by performing activities, ordinary or special - related to the personality, talents or historical background of the [[Characters|character]] played. Each crew member of the [[Daedalus]] has their own goals, accomplishing which usually rewards them with points of {{Glory}}.

=== Mush Glory ===

The original 2 {{Character|Mush}} on board (nominated on game start) start off with 120 {{Glory|Mush}}. Each Mush then converted from [[Characters|humanity]] turns their existing {{Glory}} into [[image:Mush triumph.png]]. Unlike humans, {{Character|Mush}} lose their Glory on a daily basis and must obtain more by sabotaging ship peripherals, spiking and turning humans into Mush and other mushy activities.

=== Role and Ladders ===

The point of {{Glory}} is to maintain the activity of the players, because the they are added up at the end of the game, thus creating a natural division into major and minor roles played out during the trip. Thanks to the form of individual objectives for which players get points, they are motivated to play in-character and behave in accordance with their character's background. The game also provides the Ladder divided by {{Glory}} and [[image:Win nova.png]] [[Super Nova]] awards, where players can compete for 'high scores' and recognition in the community.

== Goals for Humans ==

=== Return to Sol ===

Your mission is to save humanity from the invasion of Mush. The most common way to do this is to return to [[Sol]] with a healthy crew and without mush. Research the Anti-fungal Serum to take back to Sol and save mankind. To return to Sol, it is necessary to repair the [[PILGRED Reactor]].

The serum can be created by conducting research in the laboratory. In addition to Chun's presence in the lab, researching the serum requires presence of the mush genome disk and the death of one of the mush.

PILGRED is the engine room at the rear of the ship and relies mainly on Raluca to repair it. For best efficiency, technicians (or anyone if technicians aren't available) should reset Raluca's progress regularly.

Once PILGRED is repaired, it will be possible to return to Sol from the Command Terminal. This can be done with or without the serum, but you will get more glory if the serum is complete and unused and all mush on board are dead.

=== Create a New Eden ===

When doing expeditions, there are chances to collect artifacts knows as pieces of star map. After the first piece, you can take that to the laboratory to research the Super Calculator which will put a new piece of equipment in the Nexus.

Once you've collected three pieces of star map, take them all to Nexus and the calculator will allow you to calculate the location of Eden. Once this is calculated, an option to go to [[Eden]] will now appear in the Command Terminal.

== Goals for Mush ==

Humans are so weak that you can clearly have fun with them in many ways. It's fun to see them kill each other thinking they have you trapped. Whatever you do, you have two major goals.

=== Destroy the Daedalus ===

BOOM! A beautiful explosion. That's what we love. Bodies floating in space among the debris of the vessel. The Mush's instinct for destruction is insatiable and there are several possibilities to achieve a beautiful result.

==== Mass contamination ====
[[Image: Ending-MassContamination.png|frame]]
You start with another mush, but expanding to more is always good! Contaminate the whole crew and NERON will end the game for you. She never could stand the dirty mush.

Pay attention to where you extract spores. Cameras and other crew members will see you do this if they're in the same room as you. This is the fastest and easiest way to get caught. Good strategy is to go for a single person until they have become a mush after being infected with three spores. Coordination between mush is important. And do not forget to check if there is no camera or mycoalarms when you infect! It would be a shame to betray you and your new companion.

==== Sabotage ====

Destroy equipment... destroy the right hardware... do it right and the humans will spend more time trying to fix issues than looking for you! Pay attention to other crew members as well as cameras since many actions can be seen if they are witnessed by other people or cameras. Accusing others can work for you depending on the circumstances. Aim for equipment and materials that are essential to the crew such as Oxygen, Pasiphae and various terminals. Use caution, though! The oxygen tanks are in central storage and few people go there, so you could easily be unmasked!

=== Mush Return to Sol/Eden ===

Another way to ensure a "mush win" is to infect Sol or Eden when the crew returns. If you can stay alive and under the radar until the crew finishes PILGRED and returns to Sol, you can sabotage the crew's ultimate directive and infect the good citizens instead of ensuring the ultimate eradication of the mush virus.

The {{Character|Mush}} is a cruel fungus which uses its host as cattle, wiping out everything on its journey... extinguishing passion, emotion and desire and everything that makes a sentient being nothing but a mindless zombie. All it desires is the expansion of its organism.
== Playing as the Mush ==
[[Image: Status-mush.png|frame]]
An agent of the Mush requires stealth, cunning and deceit to claim victory over humanity and prevent the Magellan project from succeeding. Between managing your constant being [[Dirty]], not drawing suspicion by the other [[Characters|crew members]], and efficiently managing your {{AP}}, a lot can go wrong for an unprepared Mush player. Prepare your shroomy journey by informing yourself via the [[Mush Play]] article.
Players on the side of {{Character|Mush|long}} have an secondary set of [[Skills]] with its own, separate {{XP}} curve and Skill Slots at their disposal. To balance things out, they lose the ability to use some of their previous Skills. If you play as {{Character|Mush}} and the crew turns you back to {{Character|Human}} with the injection of the [[Inventory#Health|Retro-Fungal Serum]], you will get the choice of re-picking your character's skills.

== Converting to Mush ==

*[[Actions|"Doing it"]] An action that is intended to raise morale.

An example using '''Infect''':

In this next example, the humans have finished the [[Research|Mushovore Bacteria research]] and 4 spores are now required for a conversion.
{|
|[[Image:Infect1.png|thumb|none|Here, {{Character|Paola}} is human and does not know she has spores attached to her.]]

{{Main|Mush Play}}

== Mush Skills ==
{{Main|Skills#Mush Skills{{!}}Mush Skills}}

== Mush Actions ==
[[Image: Actions_Mush.gif|thumb|right|A list of actions in an example game of Mush.]]
{{Main|Actions}}

== Converting to Mush ==

If we are talking about file sizes for images I find that the best format to use changes from image to image.
For example, when I convert the image Action-Sabotage.gif to jpg it jumps up from 8KB to 13KB, converting to png it drops to 6KB.
:::: I make the same assumptions too so I've got a sense of humor about it. It's all good :) [[User:Spacekadt|Spacekadt]] ([[User talk:Spacekadt|talk]])

==Templates==
Is there any reason you want the templates for things like APs and glory to have the word after them? I think "some action costs 3 [[Image:pa slot1.png]]" is better than "some action costs 3 [[Image:pa slot1.png]] '''AP'''". It's how the game handles it, and it looks less redundant. With [[template:ap]] (my template) if you mouse over it says AP, and I intended to make it a link to something about AP as soon as there was something suitable to link to.

There is now [[template:AP]] (yours, used with <nowiki>{{AP}}</nowiki>) and [[template:Ap]] (mine, used with <nowiki>{{ap}}</nowiki>). We should just use one of them. MP has the same situation.

I do think the AP template should have options for special skill points, I just hadn't gotten around to it. We should keep that from yours.

Lastly, filling up the recent changes is my job! —[[user talk:cimanyd|Cimanyd]]

:I actually absolutely wasnt aware those templates already exist! As you noticed, the wiki has this awful issue of case sensitivity, and I just punched in "AP" and "MP" and didn't find anything, so I figured I was the first to make it. My inspiration came from the excellent [http://dota2.gamepedia.com Dota 2 Wiki] and its usage of templates.

:I'm actually torn on the issue myself; I believe that [[Image:pa slot1.png]] '''AP''' looks more elegant, because it's the same with [[Image:Triumph.png]] '''Glory''' and [[Image:Moral.png]] '''Morale'''. The game is not really a point to refer to in this issue, since its usage isn't uniform at '''all'''; sometimes you get "3 [[Image:pa slot1.png]]", sometimes it's "3 [[Image:pa slot1.png]] '''AP'''", sometimes it's even "3 Action points ([[Image:pa slot1.png]])"! Really silly. That also opens up another issue, namely how to treat tooltips and descriptions taken from inside the game... as they have haphazard, non-uniform usage of AP icons and texts all over the place, you can't really replace them all with wiki templates without altering them from their original phrasing. (which I personally think isn't an issue, but opinions may differ)

:Personally like to keep it the way I did it, though this opens up some issues for job-specific AP, as you need to add "s" behind <nowiki>2 {{AP|IT}}</nowiki> to make it "2 [[Image:Pa comp.png]]s", etc. This may require some more elegant coding, but this is my first contact with MediaWiki so idk (yet)! - [[User:Ividyon|Ividyon]] ([[User talk:Ividyon|talk]]) 09:20, 18 December 2013 (MST)

::I had forgotten how inconsistent the game itself is. My opinion is, for the wiki (anything '''not''' supposed to be copied from the game), we should just use 3 [[Image:pa slot1.png]], 3 [[File: Triumph.png|Glory]], etc. and for places where the in-game stuff is copied, just say <nowiki>"3 [[Image:pa slot1.png]]", "3 [[Image:pa slot1.png]] '''AP'''", "3 Action Points ([[Image:pa slot1.png]])",</nowiki> or whatever, to match what's in the game.
::To link to an external website, you use <nowiki>[website text], not [website|text]</nowiki>.
::This will be confusing to anyone reading it after the templates are changed... —[[user talk:cimanyd|Cimanyd]]

:::I went and changed the formatting on our talk so it won't be confusing to anyone!

:::I'm still not convinced. It may be redundant to someone who got to know the game, but anyone else won't immediately draw the connection that blue is Movement and red is Action, or that it's even supposed to be points. The image could, of course, link to articles explaining the points, but then again it won't be guaranteed that people mouse-over and realize the image is a link. Lastly, the various job action points like cook, gardening, IT etc. ''really'' aren't recognizable as AP on first glance.

:::There are cases where both types can be useful, but ultimately we should decide on a "default" type of writing which should be uniformly used across the wiki, with exceptions where applicable. (The one we decide against can remain an optional template argument for experienced editors) My vote remains on the extended style. - [[User:Ividyon|Ividyon]] ([[User talk:Ividyon|talk]]) 10:12, 18 December 2013 (MST)

::::Actually, I just changed my mind! We could leave the extended version as an optional argument for the AP/MP templates, but otherwise we can condense them down to just the icons (which will link to articles explaining the points). - [[User:Ividyon|Ividyon]] ([[User talk:Ividyon|talk]]) 10:32, 18 December 2013 (MST)

:::::OK, I'll do some template editing to make them icons only.
:::::I don't think there's anything called "life points" at all, and there's already [[template:health]] (or [[template:hp]]), so what's [[template:LP]] for? —[[user talk:cimanyd|Cimanyd]]

:::::: This damn game. The FAQ clearly read '''Life Points''', but in the game interface it's '''Health Points'''... what the hell? - [[User:Ividyon|Ividyon]] ([[User talk:Ividyon|talk]]) 11:37, 18 December 2013 (MST)

::::::: That is exactly the point I was just about to raise. *shrug* I was playing at the time and said to myself "Hey, why is it saying Life points?" This is what you get when the game isn't written in English... *facepalm* [[User:Doram|Doram]] ([[User talk:Doram|talk]]) 11:40, 18 December 2013 (MST)

:::::::The game's information isn't always consistent or accurate, that's why we ''need'' a good wiki. I think we should stick with in-game names, and ignore the help and stuff if it disagrees. —[[user talk:cimanyd|Cimanyd]]

::::::: Actually, the new Health Overhaul looks great. If you want, change the links in the Template files for {{Health}} and {{Morale}} to point at the new subheadings. [[User:Doram|Doram]] ([[User talk:Doram|talk]]) 12:06, 18 December 2013 (MST)
Infect is one of the default [[mush]] actions, all mush have this action available and no skill is required to unlock it.

The infect action is one of three ways that a mush player may attach a spore to a human player.
The other two ways are by [[Fungal Kitchen]] and [[The Trapper]], both required skills.

Once a human player has a number of spores attach to them they too will become mush.
For details please see [[Mush#Converting_to_Mush|Converting to Mush]].
